A fine figural female comb of Akan (probably Guro) origin. The comb exhibits a handsome honey-colored patina and signs of use. Formerly in the collection of Patricia Hawkins, US ambassador to Togo (2008–11), who traveled widely in West Africa to meet with other regional delegations.
