This collection consists of three gaucho boleadoras (analogs to cowboy’s lariats) and a lithograph depicting their use by a gaucho, Gaucho y Sus Armas (“Gaucho and His Weapons”), executed by Argentine artist Carlos Morel (1812–94). An edition of the print is held in the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes, Buenos Aires, Argentina (inventory #8080).
